Javascript Developer Advocate

Role overview This role centers on serving as the public technical voice for an engineering-driven organization within the JavaScript community. The advocate bridges internal engineering work and external developers, producing educational content, gathering feedback, and representing the organization at events and online. It is a remote-first position designed for someone who codes professionally and communicates openly.

Responsibilities - Create written and multimedia content such as tutorials, sample apps, and API walkthroughs targeted at JavaScript and TypeScript developers - Engage the developer community across forums, social channels, open source projects, and conferences - Translate internal product and engineering roadmaps into clear messaging for outside developers - Collect structured feedback from users and relay it back to product and engineering teams - Maintain reference codebases, SDK examples, and integration recipes in modern JavaScript frameworks

Requirements - Strong professional background building production systems with JavaScript, including Node.js or browser-based development - Demonstrated record of public technical communication, through writing, talks, videos, or open source maintainership - Comfort with full remote work, self-direction, and written asynchronous collaboration - Ability to switch comfortably between deep coding sessions and community-facing tasks
