Go Developer Advocate

Role overview This position calls for a developer advocate who specializes in Go programming. The advocate will serve as a bridge between the engineering organization and the broader developer community, translating technical work into accessible material, gathering feedback, and helping developers get more value from internal tools and APIs. The role sits inside an engineering-led, remote-first environment built on transparency and high trust.

Responsibilities - Create and publish educational content such as tutorials, blog posts, code samples, and short videos that help developers work more effectively with the company's products - Engage with the developer community across forums, social channels, conferences, and meetups to answer questions, surface pain points, and gather feedback - Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams to translate product changes into clear developer-facing material - Build reference applications, SDK examples, and small integrations that showcase recommended patterns and best practices - Represent the company at industry events and technical gatherings, delivering talks or running hands-on workshops when appropriate

Requirements - Strong proficiency in Go, with the ability to write idiomatic, well-structured code and review work produced by others - Demonstrated experience producing technical content for developer audiences in one or more formats (writing, video, live demos) - Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics to varied audiences - Comfort working independently in a remote, distributed setting and managing one's own priorities - A track record of community engagement through open-source contributions, conference speaking, or equivalent activity

Nice to have - Experience building developer tools, SDKs, or public-facing APIs - Familiarity with web scraping, data extraction, or search infrastructure concepts - Prior experience in a developer relations, developer experience, or technical evangelism role
