App QA Tester

Role overview An app QA tester is needed to manually exercise a privacy-first encrypted vault for personal photos and videos on real iOS and Android devices. The role centers on uncovering UX friction, regression bugs, and privacy-adjacent edge cases before releases reach end users. Security, reliability, and user trust are treated as core product features, not afterthoughts.

Responsibilities - Execute structured test plans across iOS and Android builds covering core vault, camera, backup, and authentication flows - Log reproducible bugs with screen recordings, logs, and severity ratings in the team's issue tracker - Perform exploratory testing on new features, locale builds, and OS version betas - Verify fixes in staging before signing off for production release - Maintain a device lab matrix tracking OS versions, screen sizes, and low-storage scenarios

Requirements - Hands-on mobile QA experience with sharp attention to detail - Ability to write clear, actionable bug reports that engineers can address without a follow-up meeting - Familiarity with TestFlight, Play Internal Testing, or comparable distribution channels - Curiosity about encryption, mobile permissions, and offline behavior
