Role overview The role involves hands-on manual testing of a privacy-first encrypted vault designed for personal photos and videos, exercised across real iOS and Android hardware. The goal is to surface UX friction, regressions, and privacy-adjacent edge cases ahead of every release. Trust, security, and reliability are positioned as product features in their own right.

Responsibilities - Carry out structured test plans on iOS and Android builds covering the vault, camera capture, backup, and authentication journeys - Document reproducible defects with video clips, logs, and clear severity ratings in the issue tracker - Explore new functionality, locale variants, and operating system beta builds for unexpected behavior - Validate fixes in a staging environment before granting production sign-off - Sustain a device lab matrix covering operating system versions, screen sizes, and low-storage scenarios

Requirements - Demonstrated mobile QA experience with strong attention to detail - Talent for writing bug reports engineers can resolve without an extra meeting - Comfort with TestFlight, Play Internal Testing, or equivalent distribution tools - Intellectual curiosity about encryption, mobile permissions, and offline-first behavior
