About this role

Role overview

This is a regional pre-sales engineering role supporting State, Local, and Education (SLED) prospects and customers across northern U.S. territories. The position partners with account executives to align customer security goals with an AI-native cybersecurity platform spanning endpoint, cloud, identity, data, and AI systems. The successful candidate operates in a fast-paced environment, pitching autonomous detection-and-response capabilities to both executives and hands-on security practitioners.

Responsibilities

- Build territory and account strategies with sales counterparts and run joint campaigns. - Translate customer requirements into security architectures spanning data center, cloud, and enterprise environments. - Track and document the portions of the sales cycle owned by sales engineering. - Lead proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements end to end. - Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations that show how products and services operate. - Recommend product enhancements and cost-effective alternatives, and contribute to a community of practice sharing best practices across the broader technical team.

Requirements

- Four or more years of cybersecurity experience, with a strong preference for endpoint cyber defense. - Demonstrated ability to handle objections and position against competing security technologies. - Proven success presenting to both small and large audiences. - Clear written and verbal communication for leading business and technical conversations with executives and practitioners. - Track record of selling to mid-size and large customers. - Willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time. - Familiarity with hacking and exploitation tools, detection evasion techniques, and notable malware and anti-malware solutions.

Nice to have

- Background in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing or red teaming, or incident response. - Comfort supporting customers through initial implementation in addition to pre-sales work.
