Remote job
Program Lead, Human & Agent Experience
Job details
About this role
Role overview A design and UX operations leader is needed to build and run the operating system for a pod-based product organization shifting toward AI-first workflows. The role spans both human experience operations and an emerging discipline of agent experience, coordinating how people and AI agents collaborate inside the product. This is a program management and operations position rather than a design-execution role; the holder will not produce mockups but will shape cadence, standards, metrics, and tooling.
Responsibilities - Design and run the operating model for a flat, pod-based design organization with no central ticket queue - Drive adoption of AI-first design practices, including prototyping directly against a live codebase and design system rather than static comps - Own the design-to-engineering handoff so interaction details translate into code accurately and buildably - Coordinate agent experience operations, including evaluations, guardrails, and primitives such as permissions, tool access, escalation paths, and failure handling - Define how humans and agents hand off to each other and how multiple agents coordinate, so collaboration is intentional - Set and track metrics such as prototyping velocity, handoff quality, cycle time, agent evaluation coverage, and AI tooling adoption - Run planning, prioritization, and cross-pod cadence, including shared infrastructure-level work spanning product lines - Support customer co-build and live-prototyping sessions, scaling learnings across similar customers rather than letting them stay one-off - Onboard designers into AI-first workflows alongside senior design leadership
Requirements - Five or more years in design or UX operations, program management, or a comparable operating role, ideally inside B2B SaaS - Hands-on experience running AI-enabled design workflows, with designers working from a live codebase and design system - A formed point of view on AI-first design-to-engineering workflows, including tooling, process, and tradeoffs encountered in practice - Some direct exposure to agent evaluation, guardrails, or operational patterns for production AI behavior - Comfort operating across a flat structure, driving standards without formal management authority - Strong cross-functional operating skill, able to run planning and prioritization across design, product, engineering, and security without becoming an extra approval layer - A bias toward rapid, disposable prototyping rather than heavily refined design work
Nice to have - Background in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or another security-adjacent B2B SaaS product - Experience standing up or scaling an AI-first product development practice during a similar organizational transition - Experience running customer co-build or live-prototyping sessions with enterprise customers - Experience building or operating multi-agent systems or defining evaluation frameworks for agent behavior in production
Benefits and work setup - Hybrid work model tied to proximity to designated offices; onsite one to two days per week within a 75-mile radius, fully remote outside that radius - Estimated total compensation range of $185,000 to $230,000 including base and bonus, with eligibility for equity and additional performance-based incentive awards - Country-specific benefits including health coverage, unlimited paid time off, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement - Equal employment opportunity commitment with reasonable accommodations available during the application process; immigration sponsorship is not offered for this role
