Junior Software Engineer

Role overview

This is an early-career engineering position on a small team building an AI-driven platform that helps B2B SaaS companies complete vendor security questionnaires (SIG, CAIQ, and custom forms) in hours rather than weeks. The team operates as an early-stage product company and is looking for someone ready to ship production code that paying customers depend on. The role blends feature development, bug fixing, and close collaboration with senior engineers, making it well suited to someone eager to grow quickly.

Responsibilities

- Build product features end-to-end with mentorship from senior engineers - Investigate and fix bugs while expanding test coverage across the codebase - Pair with senior engineers on more complex problems to accelerate learning - Write tests that catch regressions before they reach customers - Participate in pull request reviews as skills develop - Contribute to product polish, including copy fixes, small UI improvements, and error handling refinements

Requirements

- 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience (internships and bootcamp experience count) - Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript plus at least one modern web framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte - Comfort with git, GitHub, and command-line tools - Evidence of shipping something — a portfolio project, open-source contribution, or substantial bootcapstone project - Strong written communication skills, including the ability to explain what was built and why - Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn unfamiliar tools or concepts - Computer science degree, bootcamp completion, or self-taught background paired with verifiable output

Nice to have

- Hands-on experience with AI or LLM APIs, even through side projects - Familiarity with Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, or Prisma - Open-source contributions - Prior internship at a startup or product company
