Own the compliance work that allows connected hardware—including vehicle gateways, cameras, and sensors—to meet regulatory expectations and operate reliably in the field. This role sits within a security organization and combines certification analysis, engineering partnership, and stakeholder communication. The position is remote within the United States and also supports compliance needs for partnerships with commercial vehicle manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate certification requirements for hardware products before they reach customers and regulated environments. - Translate complex regulatory and compliance obligations into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams. - Work closely with firmware, hardware, and platform-security groups to embed compliance into product development. - Help establish repeatable compliance processes, documentation, and operating guidance for a newly expanding function. - Participate in discussions with internal teams, customers, partners, and auditors as responsibility grows. - Support the compliance expectations associated with original-equipment-manufacturer partnerships.
Requirements
- Background in compliance, engineering, security, or a closely related discipline. - Ability to interpret detailed regulatory requirements and convert them into practical technical or product requirements. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for working across technical and non-technical audiences. - Comfortable collaborating with hardware, firmware, and security teams on product certification and assurance activities.
