Role overview Partner with senior sellers to grow existing accounts and win new enterprise customers in the Southeast region, acting as the technical lead on complex deals. The role is remote within the US and blends hands-on pre-sales engineering with team enablement, process improvement, and alpha-product testing. It's a senior-level position on a publicly traded Connected Operations / IoT cloud platform serving industries such as agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities - Drive technical sales cycles alongside senior account executives, owning solution design, storytelling, objection handling, and custom workarounds for individual deals. - Support advanced integrations and hands-on technical validations, including prototyping and proof-of-concept work for enterprise prospects. - Serve as a senior resource within the Sales Engineering team, sharing wins, lessons, and best practices through team meetings and messaging channels. - Source and deliver product information to peers, manage projects, and contribute to process improvements and automation that scale the broader SE function. - Test alpha products and features, feeding structured feedback to product management to influence roadmap decisions. - Mentor other sales engineers and help shape team standards, documentation, and enablement assets.
Requirements - Significant pre-sales or sales engineering experience supporting enterprise customers, with a track record of winning complex technical deals. - Strong storytelling, demo, and objection-handling skills, paired with hands-on experience building custom integrations and workarounds. - Deep familiarity with IoT, cloud platforms, telematics, video-based safety, equipment monitoring, or adjacent physical-operations technologies. - Ability to operate independently while collaborating with senior sellers, product, and engineering stakeholders. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating technical detail into business value for executive audiences. - Based in or able to support customers across the Southeast US region.
Nice to have - Experience working with physical-operations industries such as transportation, construction, agriculture, field services, or manufacturing. - Background in mentoring sales engineers or building team-wide enablement and automation. - Familiarity with testing pre-release or alpha product features and channeling feedback into product roadmaps.
