Role overview
The Enterprise Core Sales Engineer partners with senior sellers to win and expand large enterprise accounts across the Northeast region. This remote, US-based role blends customer-facing technical pre-sales with internal team leadership, supporting deals built around an Internet of Things platform used by organizations running extensive physical operations. The position sits at the intersection of complex deal execution, deep product expertise, and operational scale-building for a publicly traded technology company.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior account executives to grow existing enterprise customers and land new logos through deep technical engagement - Own complex technical sales cycles end-to-end, including tailored demos, storytelling, objection handling, custom workarounds, and advanced integrations - Source and deliver product information internally, and run hands-on testing of alpha features before they reach general availability - Manage cross-functional projects and design process improvements and automation that scale the broader sales engineering organization - Share lessons learned, playbooks, and best practices with peer engineers through team meetings and messaging channels - Act as a senior technical resource across the team, raising the standard for deal execution and customer outcomes
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or a closely related customer-facing technical role - Proven success driving complex enterprise deals that involve integrations, custom architectures, and multiple stakeholders - Strong storytelling, demo delivery, and objection-handling skills with director- and executive-level audiences - Track record of partnering with senior sellers or serving as a trusted technical advisor on large accounts - Demonstrated ability to design process improvements or automation that help technical teams operate at scale - Comfort working across industries such as transportation, manufacturing, construction, field services, and agriculture
Nice to have
- Familiarity with connected operations, video-based safety, vehicle telematics, or equipment monitoring products - Experience contributing to or validating early-stage product releases
