About this role
Role overview An Application Analyst position supporting the Epic electronic health record platform, with primary responsibility for the Radiant (radiology) module. The role spans system design, configuration, testing, validation, and ongoing tier-2 support, partnering with clinical and technical teams across a healthcare environment. Work is performed full-time during standard daytime hours with after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.
Responsibilities - Build, test, validate, and maintain the assigned Epic application module, including future-state workflow design and configuration. - Investigate reported incidents, perform independent root-cause analysis, and propose solution options including workarounds for system limitations. - Collaborate in workgroups and cross-disciplinary teams with vendors, project members, and end users to design and implement enhancements and optimizations. - Manage change requests through documented, compliant processes while keeping documentation up to date. - Provide tier-2 help desk support and continually identify opportunities for functional improvement across the application. - Coordinate work activities with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and director-level contacts.
Requirements - High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred. - One year of related experience; current Epic operational experience strongly preferred. - Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification in the assigned module. - Basic computer skills and analytical ability to solve both business and technical problems. - Demonstrated capability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice to have - Willingness and ability to travel as needed for Epic training and to remote work sites. - Prior healthcare IT experience supporting ancillary clinical systems.
