AI-First Product Designer

Role overview

This remote product design role is focused on creating digital financial experiences by building and testing real product flows, not stopping at static mockups. The designer will move fluidly between Figma, AI-assisted coding tools, and the live application to explore ideas quickly, make strong product judgments, and help take polished concepts toward release.

Responsibilities

- Turn early concepts and prompts into coded, interactive prototypes using the product’s actual navigation, design tokens, components, and data. - Use AI coding tools as part of daily design exploration, then apply experienced judgment to select, refine, or discard directions. - Frame the right customer or product problem before designing a solution, including validating whether a new flow is needed. - Decide where AI meaningfully improves the experience and where conventional interaction design is more appropriate. - Set a high bar for motion, micro-interactions, usability, and the details that make an interface feel deliberate rather than merely functional. - Present working builds to stakeholders quickly and own outcomes across the design-to-product process.

Requirements

- Strong product design judgment and the ability to distinguish valuable product improvements from superficial ideas. - Comfort working directly in both design tools and functional product environments. - Ability to create or guide coded prototypes rather than relying only on handoff documents or static screens. - Practical familiarity with AI-assisted coding or prototyping workflows. - Clear problem framing, visual taste, and attention to interaction details. - Willingness to take end-to-end ownership of the result, from opportunity definition through refinement.
