Senior Product Manager, Control Plane, RSC-G & Government

Role overview

A senior product leader is needed to own the roadmap for a government-focused cloud platform, shaping how the product meets strict public-sector and regulated-customer needs. The role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and compliance, translating frameworks such as FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, CMMC, and FIPS into concrete platform requirements while partnering closely with field teams and customers.

Responsibilities

- Define and drive the product roadmap for the government edition of the platform, articulating the reasoning behind prioritization decisions to engineering and stakeholders. - Convert regulatory mandates and compliance frameworks into clear, testable platform requirements in partnership with Compliance and other product managers. - Run continuous discovery by engaging directly with field teams, government customers, and internal stakeholders to surface unmet needs. - Build and present objective business cases for investing in, deferring, or sunsetting specific capabilities. - Identify parity gaps where required capability already exists but is not enabled or documented, and drive the fastest path to closure. - Apply AI-driven tooling to automate compliance checks and surface field-relevant information on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

- Substantial product management experience owning strategy and roadmap for a defined product area, or equivalent background as a solutions engineer, solutions architect, or technical customer-facing practitioner. - Working familiarity with government compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, CMMC, and FIPS, plus awareness of emerging international regulations (for example BSI C5 and Cyber Essentials). - Comfort collaborating closely with engineering: writing precise specs and weighing technical trade-offs. - Strong written and verbal communication with an emphasis on precision and clarity. - Demonstrated fluency embedding AI tools into daily product work, such as for research, documentation, and requirements authoring. - U.S. citizenship may be required for certain government customer engagements.

Nice to have

- Background in regulated or public-sector environments. - Experience with enterprise infrastructure or cloud platforms delivered across multiple deployment models, including SaaS, customer-managed, private, and air-gapped or disconnected environments.
