About this role
Role overview Contribute to the frontend of a set of existing web products, including a public website, an admin console, and buyer and vendor applications. This volunteer role focuses on building and improving interfaces with React and TypeScript, with attention to usability on mobile screens and slower internet connections.
Responsibilities - Build and fix screens across the website and three web applications. - Keep pages responsive, readable on small screens, and performant on slower connections. - Turn design files into working interfaces in collaboration with a designer. - Check changes in the build and browser before release.
Requirements - Comfortable working with React, TypeScript, and CSS. - Able to share a relevant example of work, such as a personal project, coursework, or professional experience. - Care about accessibility and making pages work well without fast internet. - Able to contribute a few hours each week on a consistent basis.
Nice to have - Familiarity with Tailwind CSS.
