About this role

Role overview A remote AI Systems & Automation Engineer is needed to drive internal AI adoption across Customer Success, Sales, and Operations at a hospitality technology company. The role focuses on translating messy legacy workflows into dependable, supervised AI agents and integrations, rather than building raw ML models or throwaway demos.

Responsibilities - Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Operations to map multi-step manual workflows and design high-ROI AI automation targets. - Write clean, maintainable Python and/or TypeScript code that connects LLM APIs to internal data stores and third-party SaaS platforms. - Implement modular agent capabilities using standardized tools and schemas, such as Agent Skills standards, Claude Plugins, or custom function-calling pipelines. - Design human-in-the-loop workflows with strict guardrails, schema validation, approval gates, and escalation paths for non-technical supervisors. - Manage API rate limits, webhooks, asynchronous jobs, and retry logic to keep integrations reliable as data volume grows. - Build lightweight evaluation harnesses to track agent accuracy, hallucination rates, latency, and cost, optimizing prompt architectures and model choices based on production usage.

Requirements - Strong software fundamentals in Python and/or TypeScript, asynchronous execution, REST APIs, webhooks, SQL, and working with relational or analytical databases. - Deep, hands-on proficiency with Claude (Anthropic API, prompt engineering, Workbench, SDKs) and adjacent modern LLM developer tooling. - Familiarity with modern agent capability frameworks such as Agent Skills, Claude Plugins / Model Context Protocol, or structured tool execution design. - Experience consuming complex SaaS APIs such as HubSpot, Chargebee, or Modjo; proficiency with the Notion API and workspace structures is a strong plus. - Operational empathy: a business-minded engineer who enjoys working with non-technical colleagues and turning legacy processes into practical tools. - Fluent in English and based in European time zones (UTC+0 to UTC+2).

Benefits and work setup Remote-first model with flexible hours, optional co-working in several European cities, annual global team gatherings, personal and professional development opportunities plus up to three extra development days per year, a five-week bonus vacation entitlement after five years of tenure, a paid day off for your birthday, and access to Headspace and BetterHelp for mental health and wellbeing support.
