Role overview
The Senior Product Designer owns complex product problems from discovery through production, helping turn technically demanding workflows into clear, useful, and polished experiences. Working closely with product and engineering partners, this role combines customer research, problem framing, interaction design, visual craft, prototyping, and follow-through after launch.
Responsibilities
- Investigate customer needs, frame ambiguous problems, identify opportunities, and help determine what should be built and why. - Design intuitive workflows with thoughtful information architecture, states, edge cases, errors, and interactions. - Use customer conversations plus qualitative and quantitative evidence to guide decisions. - Prototype, iterate, and collaborate early with product and engineering partners to make practical trade-offs. - Stay involved through implementation, launch, and post-release refinement rather than stopping at handoff. - Contribute reusable patterns, design-system improvements, critiques, and better ways of working across the design practice. - Take ownership of design direction for a cross-functional product area and ship meaningful improvements end to end.
Requirements
- Strong experience solving complex product problems in B2B, SaaS, developer tools, or similarly technical environments. - Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and balance customer value, product quality, scope, and technical constraints. - High visual and interaction craft, including care for hierarchy, typography, spacing, composition, and polish. - Strong customer orientation and comfort conducting direct conversations to inform design decisions. - Effective collaboration with product and engineering teams in a remote, asynchronous setting. - Clear communication, broad ownership, and willingness to use prototypes, code, or modern AI tools to learn and move faster.
