Role overview
Provide technical and customer-facing support for filtration and downstream processing products used in bioprocess development and manufacturing. The role combines process expertise, field applications work, troubleshooting, training, and cross-functional collaboration across pre-sales and post-sales engagements. You will help customers progress from laboratory-scale work through larger clinical and commercial processes while feeding practical market insight back into product development.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales and product teams to support customers throughout technical evaluations, purchasing decisions, implementation, and ongoing use. - Respond to technical questions, deliver seminars and product demonstrations, and provide on-site or laboratory-based support and training. - Troubleshoot filtration and downstream processing challenges and help customers execute application studies and other technical projects. - Develop project plans, draft detailed technical reports, and prepare standard operating procedures or work instructions when needed. - Share customer feedback with product management and research and development teams to guide product improvements. - Contribute application data, technical collateral, conference presentations, posters, and customer or market feedback activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline. - At least five years of experience in downstream purification within bioprocess development or manufacturing. - Practical knowledge of filtration and chromatography, including scale-up or scale-down, technology transfer, and current good manufacturing practice requirements. - Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and multitasking skills. - Ability to build effective relationships and lead through influence while taking ownership for outcomes without direct authority. - Professional fluency in both Chinese and English across listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting gene or cell therapy processes. - Hands-on experience operating tangential flow filtration systems or packing chromatography columns. - Ability to work independently in the field, learn quickly, and develop creative solutions to complex customer problems.
