Product Manager
Job details
About this role
Role overview
This position calls for a hands-on Product Manager to own a significant area of a cloud application platform built for both human developers and AI coding agents. The scope centers on the platform's foundations: the API layer, the runtime, environment management, and the reliability that every deployed application depends on. The role sits at the intersection of product strategy and infrastructure depth, translating user needs into a roadmap that genuinely improves how modern teams ship software.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the strategy, roadmap, and priorities for a platform area, balancing mature foundations with newer territory - Synthesize inputs from customers, support, sales, and engineering into clear problem statements and test the underlying assumptions - Explore solution options with the team, weigh trade-offs, and land on the right scope - Ship in small increments and shorten the loop between release and learning - Collaborate with infrastructure and systems engineers to deliver platform capabilities that are reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly - Design features, APIs, documentation, and error messages that serve both human users and AI agents - Define metrics that demonstrate value for users and the business, and act as the internal advocate for customer needs - Build alignment across engineering, design, Product Marketing, support, and leadership - Partner with Product Marketing early so go-to-market thinking shapes the product, not just the launch
Requirements
- Proven product management experience owning a distinct product area, ideally for developer platforms, PaaS, or cloud infrastructure - Technical depth in building, deploying, and running applications in the cloud, including multi-tenant architectures or distributed systems - Software development background with hands-on familiarity in Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Go, or Rust - Hands-on experience or close collaboration with CI/CD workflows, Docker/OCI container technologies, and a clear vision for intuitive API design - Daily fluency with modern AI tools for research, drafting, and prototyping, paired with a realistic understanding of where current models fall short - A strong perspective on autonomous agent architecture and how agentic workflows are reshaping software engineering - Comfort turning unstructured problem spaces into clear strategies and acting thoughtfully with incomplete information - Clear written and verbal communication with a track record of listening and building consensus
Benefits and work setup
- Remote-first, globally distributed team with flexible paid time off - Comprehensive healthcare coverage in the UK, Canada, France, Spain, and the USA - Company stock options, professional development budget, and office equipment allowance - Wellness budget, annual team gatherings, internet reimbursement, and inclusive parental leave - Remote work travel program and a culture that prizes open-source values and diverse perspectives
