QA Engineer

Role overview

This contract QA role supports high-volume technical evaluation work by applying software-testing expertise to assess, document, and improve the quality of technical outputs. The work combines conventional quality assurance with structured review, scoring, annotation, and feedback against defined standards.

Responsibilities

- Design and execute functional, regression, and edge-case test scenarios. - Perform manual and automated testing, documenting results with precise, reproducible steps. - Identify, report, and track defects using structured bug documentation. - Evaluate technical outputs against established quality criteria and scoring rubrics. - Write detailed feedback and annotations that help improve output quality and consistency. - Work with project teams to refine evaluation guidance, testing standards, and review processes.

Requirements

- Professional experience as a QA Engineer, SDET, Test Engineer, or in a comparable quality role. - Strong command of test-case design, regression testing, manual and automated testing, and defect tracking. - Experience using bug-tracking systems and test-management tools. - Analytical problem-solving skills and sustained attention to detail. - Ability to explain complex findings clearly in written reports and verbal discussions. - Proactive, self-motivated approach with a commitment to quality, collaboration, and continuous learning.
