Design Engineer

Role overview

Build polished user interfaces at the intersection of product design and frontend engineering. You will translate design concepts into production-quality React Native experiences, help designers prototype and iterate, and work with engineers on systems that keep UI consistent, performant, and scalable across mobile, web, and browser-extension surfaces.

Responsibilities

- Implement pixel-accurate UI components and interactions directly in React Native. - Partner with product designers to prototype ideas, test interaction patterns, and refine solutions before broader implementation. - Maintain and evolve a reusable design system and component library. - Identify feasibility concerns early and propose technical or design solutions that preserve product quality. - Improve performance, animation, transitions, and micro-interactions across supported platforms. - Help shape architecture, design tokens, theming, and workflows connecting design tools with production code.

Requirements

- At least 3–5 years of frontend or UI engineering experience, including strong hands-on React Native work. - Strong visual judgment across typography, spacing, motion, hierarchy, and interaction detail. - Comfort working directly in Figma or a comparable design tool for prototyping and iteration. - Experience building or maintaining component libraries and design systems. - A record of shipping polished consumer-facing mobile products. - Clear communication skills and the ability to translate effectively between design and engineering disciplines.

Nice to have

- Experience with design tokens, theming systems, or cross-platform component libraries. - A background spanning both design and coding, whether through formal roles or practical experience. - Familiarity with React Native animation tools such as Reanimated or Lottie. - Experience with fintech, digital-asset, or other fast-growing consumer applications. - Interest in Web3 or crypto products.
