Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Role overview We are hiring a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen information security across a multi-cloud SaaS environment spanning AWS, GCP, and Azure. The role partners with engineering and business leaders to design, implement, and operate controls that protect customer data and intellectual property, while helping the organisation meet established compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities - Act as a cloud security subject matter expert, advising teams on best practices and defense-in-depth strategies - Design, engineer, and deploy security and operational controls across AWS, GCP, and Azure - Partner with functional teams to resolve security-related configuration issues - Conduct technical risk assessments of new technologies and validate alignment with secure architecture standards - Identify, measure, and communicate the impact of security deficiencies, and recommend mitigations - Collaborate with leaders across the business to deliver solutions that balance security and operational outcomes

Requirements - 5 or more years implementing security solutions - Strong cybersecurity foundation, including knowledge of threat vectors and countermeasures - Solid grasp of Linux/Unix and Windows platforms, networking concepts, and cloud infrastructure - Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as anti-virus and anti-malware, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, DLP, firewall, and IDS/IPS - Strong scripting and infrastructure-as-code skills - Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC1/SOC2, HITRUST, and ISO, plus audit methodologies - Comfort working with virtual teams in a global environment, with strong communication and presentation skills

Nice to have - Experience developing or operationalising a vulnerability management program - Background working with container-based architectures - Security or cloud certifications
