Role overview This Senior Network Site Reliability Engineer position sits on a Foundations & Network team responsible for the reliability, availability, and scalability of a large-scale collaboration platform running primarily on AWS. The role spans Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud automation, network reliability, CI/CD, and operational excellence. It is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both hands-on infrastructure work and shaping how platforms are deployed and governed at scale.
Responsibilities - Continuously improve how AWS infrastructure is operated, automated, and observed. - Build and lead CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub, with automated Infrastructure-as-Code deployment workflows. - Implement automation and observability tooling across infrastructure resources. - Maintain and extend a Terraform codebase that underpins the IaC strategy. - Build, tune, and operate Amazon Load Balancers and CloudFront distributions for performance and high availability. - Develop Cloud WAN networking and participate in an on-call rotation to respond to production incidents.
Requirements - 8+ years of professional experience in infrastructure, reliability, networking, or software engineering. - 6+ years as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar role. - Hands-on AWS experience covering EC2, VPC, ALB, S3, Route 53, and CloudFront. - Confident networking knowledge including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, BGP, and IPv6, plus AWS Cloud WAN experience. - Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills with Terraform and solid CI/CD and automation expertise. - Linux proficiency plus scripting ability in Python, Bash, or a comparable language.
Nice to have - Experience with containers and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with AWS governance and security controls such as SCPs and IAM policies. - Exposure to large-scale CDN, edge, or traffic-routing environments and globally distributed platforms. - Basic experience with GCP and Azure.
