Cloud & DevOps Engineer

Role overview The role centers on making automation work dependable by owning how client systems are deployed, monitored, and secured. It covers everything from an initial small deployment through production systems handling real traffic, with a strong emphasis on clean handovers.

Responsibilities - Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure for client projects, ensuring clients can operate it after handover. - Build deployment pipelines, environment setups, backup routines, and monitoring tooling. - Configure alerting that notifies the right person with actionable context about what broke. - Handle secrets management, access controls, and core security hygiene. - Track cloud spend and flag potential cost changes to clients before they appear on invoices.

Requirements - Hands-on experience running production workloads on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or a comparable platform. - Comfort with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tooling. - Prior on-call experience and a clear sense of what makes an alert actually useful. - Ability to write runbooks that others can follow during incidents.

Nice to have - Background with Node.js services, message queues, and managed databases. - Experience working directly with client engineering teams.
