Role overview Join an IT services consulting team delivering a new ArcGIS-based application for digital network documentation within the utility sector. The role focuses on initial setup, configuration, data migration, training, and ongoing documentation for a client going through a GIS transformation in their network operations.
Responsibilities - Lead the initial setup and customization of an ArcGIS-based GIS application for digital network documentation. - Configure the GIS to capture and manage electronic switching states within the utility network. - Migrate and integrate existing geographic and network-related data into the new platform. - Develop and deliver training materials for end users on the GIS application. - Design and run requirements-based and functional tests against functional and technical requirements. - Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and configuration guidelines.
Requirements - Solid hands-on knowledge of ArcGIS platforms, especially configuration and customization of GIS applications. - Experience with digital network documentation and handling switching-state data inside utility networks. - Familiarity with data migration and integration approaches for moving geographic data into new GIS systems. - Experience conducting user training and providing end-user support. - Working knowledge of requirements and test management processes. - Ability to produce clear technical documentation and user manuals, with strong communication and an independent, proactive working style.
