Role overview This position leads pre-sales technical engagement across Quebec and other territories for a data security platform focused on discovering, classifying, governing, and remediating sensitive unstructured data where it lives. The role combines enterprise solution selling with deep expertise in AI, data security posture management, and regulatory considerations such as data sovereignty. The engineer partners closely with account executives while also shaping regional go-to-market strategy.
Responsibilities - Act as the primary technical resource throughout the sales cycle, leading demos, workshops, and proof-of-concept deployments for new and expansion business. - Drive technical discovery to assess prospect environments, surface gaps, and define success criteria that shape proposals. - Track the AI, DSPM, and data security landscape, translating evolving capabilities into clear business outcomes for technical and executive audiences. - Enable, support, and train channel partners to drive revenue through co-sell motions. - Contribute to RFP responses, account expansion planning, and definition of additional use cases. - Maintain competitive knowledge, handle technical objections credibly, and channel customer feedback to product teams. - Build tailored technical narratives and demo environments aligned with regulatory contexts in Quebec and Europe. - Travel regularly for in-person meetings, conferences, and trade shows, including international travel across Quebec and European markets.
Requirements - Fluently bilingual in English and French, with current residence in the vicinity of Montreal or Quebec City. - 5–7 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or equivalent technical pre-sales role, including ownership of complex enterprise evaluations. - 3+ years running complex technical engagements or proof-of-concept deployments involving multiple stakeholders. - Hands-on experience positioning AI-powered products, with the ability to explain model outputs, limitations, and value in customer-friendly terms. - Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messages across technical and executive audiences. - Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have - Ability to develop technical documentation and customer-facing assets. - Industry certifications such as CCSP, CompTIA, CISM, AWS, or Azure.
