Applied AI Engineer

Role overview

This role sits at the intersection of applied AI and developer experience, focusing on building the SDKs, agents, and reference integrations that demonstrate what a modern LLM platform can do. The work is remote and full-time, aimed at engineers who treat developer ergonomics as a first-class product surface rather than an afterthought.

Responsibilities

- Ship reference applications and starter templates developers can clone on day one, including chat starters, bot examples, and embeddable widgets - Maintain and evolve open-source SDKs in Python and TypeScript, plus one or two additional language targets - Identify friction in the developer journey and resolve it proactively before issues are reported - Contribute technical writing, tutorials, and examples that developers actually want to read - Iterate end-to-end on features rather than handing off slices to other teams

Requirements

- Daily hands-on experience building with large language models and prompt workflows - Strong opinions about what a polished developer experience looks and feels like - Track record of shipping complete features, from design through production release - Ability to write technical content clearly for an engineering audience - Comfort owning user-facing developer surfaces and supporting them publicly

Nice to have

- Experience maintaining popular open-source libraries and handling community feedback - Familiarity with building embeddable widgets, chat interfaces, or bot integrations - Background in developer relations or technical evangelism
