About this role
Role overview

This senior individual contributor role combines feature delivery with production ownership: you will shape technical decisions, improve reliability, and help other engineers raise the quality of the mobile application.
Responsibilities - Own Android features from design through implementation, testing, release, and production monitoring. - Build accessible interfaces and reliable integrations involving APIs, authentication, caching, and background work. - Investigate crashes, performance and memory problems, network failures, and device-specific issues; follow production incidents through resolution. - Improve architecture, release quality, monitoring, and automated coverage of important user journeys. - Review code, mentor engineers, and help reduce recurring defects and development bottlenecks. - Use AI coding tools where useful while independently validating code quality, security, and behavior.
Requirements - At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial native Android development. - Strong Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack, lifecycle, concurrency, and API integration skills. - Experience shipping and maintaining production Android applications and writing automated tests. - Strong debugging skills across devices, networks, and performance conditions. - Understanding of mobile security, accessibility, CI/CD, and release processes. - Ability to work independently and collaborate with product, design, QA, backend, and iOS colleagues; experience mentoring engineers.
