Systems Engineer

Role overview This pre-sales Systems Engineering role drives technical strategy and adoption of enterprise data infrastructure across high-value accounts in Malaysia. Working alongside Account Managers, alliance partners, and customer executives, the engineer translates complex IT challenges into differentiated storage and data platform designs that accelerate revenue growth.

Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end technical evaluations, custom proof-of-concepts, and system configurations with Account Managers to secure technical wins and expand market share across enterprise accounts. - Translate customer business goals and infrastructure pain points into tailored solution designs in collaboration with alliance and channel partners. - Author comprehensive RFI and RFP responses and execute technical benchmark testing that highlights performance, scalability, and TCO advantages. - Deliver architectural presentations to customer leadership and feed market trends and customer insights back into engineering roadmap discussions.

Requirements - Proven pre-sales track record in enterprise technology environments, including RFP responses and complex technical sales cycles. - Deep technical capability in storage architectures (SAN, NAS, FC, iSCSI), Linux, NFS file systems, and distributed network environments. - Strong foundation across digital transformation, on-premises and cloud-native architectures, enterprise networking (Ethernet, TCP/IP, LAN), and virtualized computing. - Superior presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural concepts to both technical evaluators and executive decision-makers. - Based in Malaysia and able to work primarily on-site from the Malaysia office, with flexibility for PTO, work travel, or approved leave.
