Senior Solutions Architect, MSP

Role overview

This is a field-facing, deal-led Senior Solutions Architect role for an enterprise data platform, serving as the technical front line for the managed service provider (MSP) practice. The position owns technical leadership of MSP opportunities end to end, from discovery and solution design through sizing, competitive positioning, proof of concept, and technical close, working directly with MSP architects and their end customers. Success is measured by pipeline and bookings won with MSP partners, alongside reusable technical IP that strengthens the broader program.

Responsibilities

- Own technical leadership of MSP opportunities through discovery, solution design, sizing, competitive positioning, POCs, and technical close - Drive strategic deals within existing MSP accounts and open whitespace MSPs across the assigned region - Define end-to-end architecture including multi-tenancy, automation, provisioning, operational models, and integration into MSP service stacks - Model and influence commercial constructs such as managed service unit economics, cost per tenant, consumption models, and consumption-based margin - Displace competitors by positioning the full platform portfolio rather than any single product line, with a strong evidence base of battle cards, teardowns, and reference wins - Build technical credibility with MSP architects, practice leads, and CTOs, enabling partner teams to design and sell autonomously - Channel real MSP requirements back into the global partner program and product management, contributing reusable reference architectures, sizing guides, and service blueprints

Requirements

- 5+ years in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical leadership with a demonstrable record of winning partner-led business - Direct experience with MSPs and a real understanding of how they build, price, operate, and sell managed services - Commercial fluency around consumption economics, total cost of ownership, and margin discussions with finance and practice leadership - Track record of driving and closing technically complex deals in competitive environments - Credible working knowledge across modern data platform architecture including block, file, and object storage, unstructured data at scale, hybrid and cloud data services, Kubernetes, and storage-as-a-service models - Practical command of multi-tenancy, automation, and API-driven infrastructure - Outstanding written, diagrammatic, and verbal communication, with the ability to move between an MSP CTO conversation and a whiteboard architecture session

Benefits and work setup

- Annual base salary range of $141,400 to $212,100 USD, with eligibility for incentive pay and/or equity - Remote position; applications reviewed on an ongoing basis until the role is filled
