Role overview
A senior Quality Systems Engineer position supporting enterprise storage products, including all-flash array and blade platforms used for mission-critical workloads. The role blends manual and automated testing, working alongside engineering, support, and release teams to deliver high-availability, high-performance storage software.
Responsibilities
- Plan, test, and qualify shipping releases of storage platform software. - Reproduce and root-cause customer-reported issues with Support and Escalation teams. - Triage and debug automated test failures across a multi-machine hardware and software stack. - Perform ad-hoc, automated, and manual testing across storage features. - Design tools and automation that simplify testing and integration workflows. - Identify test gaps, perform root-cause analysis, and close the loop with release engineering.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent, with 10+ years of software system testing experience. - Deep knowledge of the storage stack, including high availability, caching, flash, RAID, deduplication and compression, filesystems, block storage, I/O paths, latency and throughput trade-offs, consistency, and replication. - Familiarity with storage protocols (Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI, NVMe, SCSI, NFS, SMB) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack). - Hands-on interoperability testing experience with firmware updates, backwards compatibility, and upgrade paths in hardware labs or data centers. - Strong Python test automation skills, familiarity with IO tools (vdbench, Orion, IOmeter) and database technologies (Oracle, SQL), plus solid QA methodology and root-cause analysis skills. - Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Remote or onsite options available. - Annual base salary range listed as $217,000–$326,000 USD, with eligibility for incentive pay and/or equity depending on role, level, and location.
