Role overview
This is a hands-on mobile and desktop engineering role focused on Apple's platforms, building a privacy-first browser that integrates on-device large language models and cryptocurrency wallet functionality. The position is remote-first, and the engineer will work across both iOS and macOS codebases to deliver features end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship native iOS and macOS code for a privacy-focused browser product - Integrate on-device LLM capabilities and crypto wallet features into the application - Develop networking, persistence, and security layers that respect user privacy by default - Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery impact on Apple hardware - Collaborate with design and backend engineers to deliver cohesive user experiences
Requirements
- Strong experience developing for iOS and/or macOS using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit - Solid grasp of Apple platform conventions, including sandboxing, networking, and secure storage - Familiarity with on-device model integration or a clear interest in local ML inference - Understanding of privacy-preserving patterns and secure handling of keys or credentials - Self-directed work style suited to a fully remote, distributed team
