Role overview Qualified neuroscience experts in the Winnipeg region are invited to participate in a verification project that assesses how accurately AI systems summarize complex scientific research. The role centers on reviewing AI-generated graphical abstracts and judging whether they faithfully represent the source neuroscience papers. Work is structured as a flexible, ad hoc engagement with paid hourly compensation.
Responsibilities - Compare source neuroscience papers with the AI-produced graphical abstracts and evaluate overall fidelity. - Pinpoint factual inaccuracies, missing context, or structural flaws in the visual output. - Use domain expertise to confirm that technical concepts, methods, and findings are conveyed correctly. - Provide clear written feedback that project teams can act on to refine model behavior. - Pass an initial paid skills assessment built around a representative sample paper and abstract.
Requirements - Master's degree or doctorate in Neuroscience or a closely related discipline. - Established expertise working with peer-reviewed neuroscience literature. - Demonstrated analytical skills with prior fact-checking or quality-review experience. - Ability to assess both textual accuracy and visual representation of scientific content. - Self-directed work style suited to remote, task-based assignments.
Nice to have - Familiarity with AI model evaluation, annotation, or training workflows. - Experience in scientific publishing, peer review, or scholarly editing.
