Role overview Neuroscience professionals on Australia's Sunshine Coast are invited to participate in a remote AI evaluation project focused on graphical abstracts. The role involves comparing LLM-generated summaries against the original research papers to assess scientific fidelity. It is a flexible, ad hoc position paying $40 or more per hour.
Responsibilities - Pair source neuroscience papers with their AI-generated graphical abstracts for review. - Detect factual inaccuracies, structural issues, or misleading simplifications in the generated content. - Confirm that technical neuroscience concepts are faithfully captured visually and textually. - Contribute expert judgments that help improve AI summarization quality. - Successfully complete a paid qualifying assessment using a sample paper and abstract.
Requirements - Deep expertise in neuroscience, demonstrated through academic or professional work. - Master's or PhD qualification in neuroscience or a closely related discipline. - Sharp analytical ability and prior experience with detailed fact-checking tasks. - Confidence interpreting dense, peer-reviewed scientific publications. - Comfort working remotely on an ad hoc schedule.
