Role overview This remote, contract opportunity invites neuroscience specialists to evaluate graphical abstracts produced by an AI system against the original research papers. The role is part of a verification project aimed at ensuring AI-generated scientific summaries remain accurate and trustworthy. It is a flexible, ad-hoc engagement paid at $40+/h, with participants choosing when to take on tasks.
Responsibilities - Review scientific papers alongside corresponding LLM-generated graphical abstracts. - Identify any factual inaccuracies, visual distortions, or structural flaws in the AI output. - Use domain expertise to confirm that neuroscience concepts and methods are summarised correctly. - Pass a paid skills assessment using a sample paper and graphical abstract before joining the study. - Provide expert feedback that shapes how future AI systems condense and visualise research.
Requirements - Master's or PhD in Neuroscience or a closely related field. - Proven ability to read and critique dense neuroscience literature. - Previous experience with fact-checking, peer review, or other detail-oriented analytical work. - Strong observational and reasoning skills.
Nice to have - Past involvement in AI-related training, evaluation, or annotation work. - Experience in scientific publishing, editorial review, or peer review processes.
