Role overview This is a flexible, ad-hoc contract opportunity for neuroscience specialists to serve as expert evaluators on a project assessing AI-generated scientific summaries. Participants work remotely, comparing machine-produced graphical abstracts against source research papers to verify scientific integrity. Engagement is paid on an hourly basis at $40+/h, with work scheduled on demand rather than as a fixed-hours position.

Requirements - Master's degree or PhD in Neuroscience or a closely related discipline. - Demonstrated expertise navigating dense neuroscience literature and interpreting research methodology. - Proven analytical skills with prior fact-checking, peer review, or critical appraisal experience. - Strong attention to detail when comparing source content against derivative summaries.
Nice to have - Previous involvement in AI training, annotation, or evaluation tasks. - Background in scientific publishing, journal peer review, or editorial work.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote with flexible scheduling. - Competitive hourly compensation of $40 or more. - Short onboarding process once the assessment is passed.
