Role overview Materials Science specialists are invited to join a remote expert talent pool that helps evaluate and refine AI-generated scientific content. The primary task is comparing LLM-produced graphical abstracts against the materials science papers they summarise and identifying any mismatch. Engagement is project-based, contingent on client demand and how closely a candidate matches project needs.
Responsibilities - Review materials science publications paired with graphical abstracts drafted by a language model. - Identify instances where the abstract does not accurately capture the paper's content. - Apply domain expertise to judge scientific integrity and representational fidelity. - Provide detailed, structured feedback used to enhance AI model performance. - Complete paid assignments that can last up to around one hour of concentrated work, often shorter.
Requirements - Master's degree or higher in Materials Science or a related discipline. - Deep working knowledge of materials science literature, methods, and terminology. - Prior experience with fact-checking, academic review, or AI-related annotation. - A verifiable professional profile, such as a maintained LinkedIn presence. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to focus for sustained periods. - Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable computer for remote work.
