Role overview This remote advisory opportunity invites Materials Science specialists to join an expert talent pool supporting AI research and development. The core mission is to audit scientific papers and LLM-generated graphical abstracts, flagging any mismatches in accuracy so model outputs can be refined. Participation in individual projects is not guaranteed and depends on client demand and profile fit.
Responsibilities - Review materials science research papers alongside graphical abstracts produced by a large language model. - Identify and document discrepancies where the abstract fails to faithfully represent the source paper. - Apply domain judgement to assess scientific correctness, completeness, and visual-to-text alignment. - Provide structured feedback that can be used to improve cutting-edge AI models. - Complete focused paid tasks, generally ranging from short assignments to about one hour of uninterrupted work.
Requirements - Master's degree or higher in Materials Science or a closely related discipline. - Deep, demonstrable expertise in materials science concepts, terminology, and literature. - Prior experience with fact-checking, peer review, or AI-related annotation tasks. - Verifiable professional history, such as a LinkedIn profile that confirms qualifications. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate on complex material for up to an hour at a time. - A reliable, fast internet connection and a suitable computer setup for remote work.
