Senior Strategic Insights Researcher
Job details
About this role
Role overview This senior individual contributor role centers on building and personally executing pre-launch research that shapes creative concepts, messaging, and assets before they reach market. The position is deeply hands-on across the full research lifecycle, moving from brief writing and study design through fieldwork, analysis, and final recommendations. It is explicitly not a people-management or vendor-management role.
Responsibilities - Design and run mixed-method studies (quantitative and qualitative) that test creative concepts, advertising, messaging, and value propositions before launch - Translate business decisions into research objectives, hypotheses, and measurable success criteria, then select the right study design - Program surveys with visuals in Qualtrics or a comparable platform - Moderate interviews, focus groups, and rapid iterative studies, diagnosing why creative work succeeds or fails - Analyze findings and deliver recommendations that visibly change a creative or business decision, not just report reactions - Build benchmarks, research principles, or repeatable creative-learning systems where appropriate
Requirements - 5+ years in market research, consumer insights, advertising research, or a closely related discipline, with current hands-on work across the research lifecycle - Direct, personal experience designing and executing creative, advertising, concept, message, or value-proposition testing - Working knowledge of experimental or monadic designs, sampling, stimulus exposure, quality assurance, analysis, and interpretation - Demonstrated mixed-method capability across quantitative and qualitative research - Track record of personally moderating interviews, focus groups, or rapid iterative studies - Examples showing research that changed a creative or business decision rather than only describing consumer reactions
Nice to have - Experience testing static advertising, paid social, television, out-of-home, storyboards, animatics, rough cuts, talent, promotions, or product experiences - Background in sports, gaming, entertainment, consumer technology, or another fast-moving cultural category - Skill synthesizing consumer research with brand strategy, product context, and in-market performance data - Responsible use of AI-enabled tools for survey development, qualitative coding, open-text analysis, synthesis, or workflow acceleration - Comfort collaborating across product marketing, integrated marketing, user acquisition, product design, and creative teams - Demonstrated ownership, persistence, and follow-through
Benefits and work setup - Typical salary range of $130,000 to $145,000, with variation by role, level, and work location - Medical, dental, and vision plans with employer subsidy - 401(k) plan with company match and an annual bonus - Flexible paid time off, with a strongly encouraged minimum, plus 16-week paid parental leave and disability benefits - Workplace flexibility and modern schedules focused on outcomes rather than hours clocked - Company-wide in-person events, team outings, and a lifestyle enhancement program - Company-provided equipment (Windows or Mac options) and annual performance reviews with growth opportunities - Remote candidates across the U.S. will be considered, with a stated preference for candidates based in Atlanta
