Game Operations Analyst - Pre Match

Role overview

This position focuses on producing and maintaining accurate sports projections for daily fantasy sports contests across multiple professional and college leagues. The role combines quantitative modeling, risk monitoring, and operations support in a fast-paced environment, with shifts tied to the live sports calendar.

Responsibilities

- Post and maintain accurate pre-game and in-game player projections across all supported sports markets - Continuously monitor projections and adjust them based on incoming information throughout the day - Apply modeling and quantitative analysis to manage risk tied to projection accuracy - Analyze member play patterns and translate findings into internal process changes - Partner with sport owners to roll out strategies, best practices, and standard operating procedures - Support new product initiatives and adapt game operations practices to additional sports as needed

Requirements

- Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication - Reliable time management and ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines - Substantial knowledge of daily fantasy sports, prediction markets, player props, and sports gaming - Familiarity with college and major professional sports players, teams, and matchups - Ability to synthesize multiple data streams and make quick, thoughtful decisions - Willingness to work evenings and weekends aligned with live sports schedules - Proficiency with Google Workspace and comfort learning new tools

Nice to have

- Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, engineering, analytics, finance, or accounting - One to three years of experience in or playing daily fantasy sports
