Responsibilities
- Design and ship production-grade software that transforms research ideas into reliable code for autonomous platforms. - Partner with R&D teammates to mature prototypes into performant, maintainable production systems with clear objectives and timelines. - Profile, debug, and apply low-level optimizations to improve efficiency, portability, and scalability across critical code paths. - Integrate application software with robotic systems, sensors, and supporting hardware components. - Help establish engineering standards and practices that raise overall product quality and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Deep proficiency in C++ and/or Python for production systems. - Strong command of data structures, algorithms, and systems-level programming concepts such as threading, synchronization, and memory management. - Demonstrated ability to debug, profile, and optimize complex software systems. - Track record of delivering software with real-world impact. - Comfort working in a fast-paced, distributed startup environment.
Nice to have
- Background in autonomy, robotics, or other performance-critical domains. - Familiarity with machine learning methods applied to natural language processing or autonomy. - Experience with embedded systems and real-time applications.
