Role overview
Shape and extend a technical brand’s visual identity across digital, print, experiential, and merchandise touchpoints. This role sits within marketing and focuses on translating complex infrastructure and database concepts into clear, engaging visual stories for developers and technical decision-makers. You will contribute both strategic creative direction and detailed production work across campaigns, events, websites, and content.
Responsibilities
- Create web graphics, illustrations, technical diagrams, data visualizations, and interactive visual assets that make complex ideas easier to understand. - Develop visual systems for campaigns, launches, and marketing initiatives across digital, print, event, and merchandise formats. - Design conference booths, signage, environmental branding, banners, posters, stickers, and other event collateral. - Produce website components, landing-page assets, social graphics, blog imagery, and related marketing materials. - Create practical templates and design systems that help the broader team work efficiently and consistently. - Collaborate with marketing and events partners, document design decisions, and evolve the visual identity while preserving brand coherence.
Requirements
- Strong portfolio showing versatility across digital, print, and experiential design. - Deep command of typography, color, composition, and visual hierarchy. - Ability to move between high-level brand thinking and polished production execution. - Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain design choices and incorporate feedback. - Self-direction and strong project-management skills across multiple priorities and competing deadlines. - Collaborative approach that protects creative quality while responding constructively to input.
Nice to have
- Experience designing for technical, developer, infrastructure, or other complex product brands. - Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and comparable design tools. - Experience using AI to create and refine working page drafts or other design explorations. - Understanding of design systems and component-based design. - Interest in learning about databases, infrastructure, and developer tools.
Benefits and work setup
- The source describes a location-flexible environment intended to support effective work across locations. - Listed base salary range is $170,000–$220,000 USD, with total compensation also described as potentially including benefits and equity.
