Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales - German Defense & Intelligence

Role overview

A Pre-Sales Solutions Architect role focused on the German defense and intelligence sector, helping public-sector clients translate earth observation data into mission-relevant capabilities. The position sits at the intersection of geospatial technology, technical sales, and government consulting, requiring close collaboration with internal product, success, and business development teams to design solutions that address complex earth data challenges. It is a full-time, remote position based in Germany, with hybrid expectations when located near a regional office.

Responsibilities

- Design and deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and technical narratives that map platform capabilities to customer mission requirements - Build trusted-advisor relationships with technical staff and senior leadership within defense and intelligence organizations - Recommend solution architectures that align with customer business challenges, budget constraints, and scalability needs - Author technical responses to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and unsolicited proposals - Partner with sales colleagues to shape and drive the technical strategy across prospect and account plans - Channel customer feedback into product, customer success, and business development teams, and relay pipeline, forecast, and deal insights to sales leadership - Present to senior government stakeholders and mentor junior team members while contributing to enablement materials

Requirements

- At least four years of technical experience supporting the German defense and intelligence community - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - Eligibility to obtain and maintain a German security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German, plus professional working proficiency in English - Hands-on experience with GIS and remote sensing users in defense, including imagery-based intelligence (IMINT) and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) workflows - Proficiency with geospatial tooling such as QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, and Python, plus the ability to process imagery, manipulate geospatial data, work with APIs, and build data pipelines - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and to design complex solutions that bridge business problems and technology - Willingness to travel, including internationally, up to 25%
