Senior Infrastructure Solutions Engineer

Role overview A senior infrastructure engineer focused on making a shared platform easier for other engineering teams to adopt. The role sits between the teams that build platform capabilities and the teams that consume them, diagnosing blocked work, owning migrations end to end, and turning recurring pain points into reusable, well-supported infrastructure. Success is measured by making many teams faster and removing duplicated, insecure infrastructure across the organization.

Responsibilities - Lead hands-on technical engagements with engineering teams to diagnose, unblock, and resolve complex infrastructure challenges - Execute migrations off deprecated systems by producing reference implementations, tooling, and clear guidance - Serve as the primary technical contact for new teams onboarding to the core infrastructure platform - Consolidate divergent solutions into standardized, paved-road infrastructure offerings - Design reusable artifacts such as libraries, Terraform modules, and Helm charts that solve recurring patterns across teams - Improve platform observability through instrumentation and attribution tooling that surfaces cost, usage, and adoption - Synthesize feedback from across engineering to influence the broader infrastructure roadmap

Requirements - 6+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE, including leading at least one cross-team migration or project - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - Background in technical enablement, developer experience, or solutions architecture focused on internal developer productivity - Hands-on experience operating and maintaining production infrastructure environments - Deep expertise with Kubernetes orchestration, including workload optimization and operations - Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or comparable public cloud (compute, storage, quota, and capacity planning) - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD) and CI/CD pipelines - Software development proficiency in Go or Python - Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration

Nice to have - Experience operating large-scale block storage (Persistent Disk, Hyperdisk, Ceph, SAN, or equivalent) at fleet scale rather than per service - Track record of driving large migrations or deprecations that required buy-in from teams outside your reporting line
