A senior Technical Program Manager role focused on leading infrastructure modernization programs for large-scale advertising and shopping systems. The position drives cross-team execution on catalog, indexing, and retrieval platform improvements while partnering with engineering leads across multiple service areas. Work sits at the intersection of real-time serving infrastructure, monetization systems, and AI-augmented program management practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead programs that scale catalog, indexing, and retrieval systems to handle billions of items across shopping and ads infrastructure, partnering with engineering leads across catalog, search infrastructure, and retrieval - Drive cross-team execution on modernization initiatives including migrations to next-generation compute and storage platforms, managing timelines, dependencies, and risks across service owners - Build and maintain program dashboards and reporting that give engineering and business stakeholders a clear view of progress, risk, and decisions - Partner with engineering on reliability and incident-response initiatives for revenue-critical serving systems - Use generative AI as a default operating model for program execution, including AI-assisted drafts of core artifacts, intake triage, status synthesis, action and decision extraction, and risk and dependency tracking - Prototype solutions using AI coding assistants to augment decisions through data analysis or simplify processes such as workflow helpers and internal tools
Requirements
- 5+ years of TPM or product ownership experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs, ideally within large-scale distributed systems, search and retrieval, or ads and monetization infrastructure - Solid understanding of the principles behind large-scale serving, indexing, or retrieval systems and the tradeoffs involved in scaling them - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience building dashboards, interpreting data, and using insights to drive decisions - Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a track record of partnering with senior engineering and business stakeholders in high-visibility settings - Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities across a fast-moving, multi-workstream roadmap - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience

- Experience with ads, monetization, or data infrastructure - Background turning repeatable program work into durable, low-toil mechanisms - AI fluency including prompting, AI coding assistants for lightweight scripts and tools, and leveraging agents where appropriate - Experience operating within AI governance expectations such as risk assessment, data handling, and model and output validation
Benefits and work setup
- Base salary range of $123,684 to $254,644 USD, plus equity - Remote-eligible within the US with in-person collaboration expected one to two times every six months - Open to US-based applicants only
