Research Scientist (Video)

Role overview

Drive applied research in computer vision and machine learning for real-time video processing, meeting analytics, identity-related applications, and detection of manipulated or synthetic media. The role combines independent research ownership with reproducible experimentation and close collaboration to move promising models and tools into production systems.

Responsibilities

- Lead research initiatives that improve real-time video processing and meeting-analytics capabilities. - Design, implement, and evaluate deep-learning methods for video understanding, face recognition, and video deepfake detection. - Create and maintain efficient internal research packages for training, testing, and reproducing machine-learning results. - Work with research engineers and software engineers to deploy models and research tools in production environments. - Present assumptions, findings, limitations, and implications clearly in cross-functional meetings and technical reviews. - Contribute to patents and peer-reviewed publications in relevant computer vision, audio, speech, or machine-learning venues.

Requirements

- PhD in computer science, mathematics, engineering, artificial intelligence, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent industry research experience. - At least three years of professional deep-learning experience applied to computer vision, face recognition, video manipulation detection, or related machine-learning problems. - Strong Python programming skills and experience developing maintainable research software for model training and evaluation. - Hands-on proficiency with modern frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras. - Evidence of delivering research projects on schedule, with rigorous validation, clear documentation, and reproducible results. - Ability to work through ambiguity, iterate scientifically, and collaborate effectively across research, engineering, and product functions.

Nice to have

Experience with C or C++, Go, TensorFlow Lite, TensorFlow Micro, real-time video pipelines, video-data preparation, or domains such as identity authentication, fraud detection, and consumer security.
