Staff Platform Engineer

Role overview Build and operate a shared engineering platform that gives product teams secure, repeatable infrastructure and delivery paths. The work spans containerized runtime and tenant isolation, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, security controls, observability, and cost visibility. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on platform quality and developer outcomes.

Responsibilities - Design a container-orchestrated runtime with strong isolation between engagements, reusable service contracts, and composable infrastructure templates. - Automate environment creation and teardown through code changes, with checks that confirm resources are removed. - Establish federated identity, audited just-in-time access, and separated network edges. - Provide shared delivery pipelines with enforceable quality, security, and AI governance gates. - Build security and compliance controls into development and release workflows, including scanning, policy enforcement, artifact integrity, audit records, and software bills of materials. - Deliver telemetry, service objectives, fault testing, incident support, and per-engagement cost reporting; measure and improve platform adoption and usability.

Requirements - Ten or more years in software, platform, infrastructure engineering, or a related field. - Deep experience with infrastructure as code at fleet scale, including module design, remote state, and multi-environment setups. - Production experience operating multi-tenant Kubernetes, including GitOps, policy, workload identity, and tenant isolation. - Experience building shared CI/CD systems with reusable workflows and enforced quality and security checks. - Strong cloud identity and network security skills on a major cloud platform. - Practical experience with security and compliance automation, production observability, and application development in Go, Python, or TypeScript. - Clear written and spoken English communication, sound engineering practices, and experience collaborating in cross-functional Agile teams.

Nice to have Experience with client-isolated consulting platforms, developer portals or virtual cluster tooling, AI coding assistant sandboxes, cloud/Kubernetes/security certifications, FinOps, or developer education.
