QA Engineer

Role overview

This full-time, fully remote QA Engineer role focuses on improving the reliability of a software platform serving small businesses and multi-location operators. You will own quality across mobile applications, web ordering experiences, merchant tools, integrations, and release workflows while helping establish scalable testing practices.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile products. - Perform manual, exploratory, and pre-release testing for new functionality. - Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects in close partnership with Engineering. - Create QA processes, standards, and repeatable testing practices. - Validate integrations with point-of-sale systems and other third-party services. - Collaborate with Product and Engineering on acceptance criteria, edge cases, release quality, and CI/CD testing improvements.

Requirements

- At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing. - Practical experience creating and maintaining automated tests. - Ability to test web and mobile applications across varied workflows and user scenarios. - Strong attention to detail when identifying defects, regressions, and edge cases. - Clear communication and effective collaboration with product and engineering teams.
