Release Manager

Role overview Coordinate software delivery for a GovTech platform that helps residents transact with government agencies. The Release Manager owns release planning, execution, incident response, and Jira administration across cross-functional product, engineering, operations, and QA teams.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain the release schedule, coordinating with product, engineering, operations, and QA to align scope and deliverables. - Plan and deploy hotfixes with client and engineering teams, and schedule releases with database and engineering stakeholders. - Oversee end-to-end release execution, including user acceptance, production deployments, and rollback procedures. - Communicate release schedules, status, and risks to stakeholders, and maintain detailed documentation of processes, configurations, dependencies, and known issues. - Identify and mitigate release risks, and establish change control and release management processes. - Coordinate cross-functional incident response, validate resolution and closure, and track metrics to improve response efficiency. - Design and maintain custom Jira workflows, issue types, field configurations, and permission schemes; build automation rules and integrations; manage projects, access control, and board configurations.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience in release management, software delivery coordination, or a related role. - Strong cross-functional communication skills for working with engineering, product, operations, and client teams. - Hands-on experience administering and configuring Jira (workflows, schemas, automation, permissions). - Working knowledge of change control, incident management, and rollback planning. - Solid documentation and stakeholder reporting abilities. - Comfort with agile development processes and sprint-based delivery.

Nice to have - Experience coordinating releases for SaaS or government-facing products. - Familiarity with branching strategies, merge management, and CI/CD pipelines.
