Remote job
Solutions Engineer, Expansion Finland
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A forward-deployed Solutions Engineering position driving European expansion across the UK and the Nordics. The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Engineering, translating messy customer problems into signed pilots and live integrations for an AI-powered automotive parts platform. It is a high-ownership, end-to-end technical role suited to someone who enjoys working close to data and code while helping shape how the product lands in new markets.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical path from first prospect conversation through signed pilot in new markets, scoping integrations and mapping end-to-end estimating and parts workflows - Build and debug customer-facing integrations, including regional estimating system connections for Nordic pilots, to get pilots live in test and production - Construct tailored demos and experimental features that showcase the platform's AI capabilities for buyers across the repair supply chain - Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal Product and Engineering teams, clearing whatever blocks a prospect from saying yes - Feed market-specific requirements back into the roadmap and shape how the product gets built for each new region - Operate as the sole solutions presence in assigned markets, owning outcomes end to end with minimal hand-holding
Requirements
- Comfortable writing SQL and navigating or debugging codebases; able to stand up prototypes and demos independently rather than waiting on Engineering - Strong technical problem-solver who breaks ambiguous, messy problems into root causes and generalizable solutions, not one-off fixes - Commercially minded, able to translate technical decisions into business cases using frameworks, calculators, and reporting - Excellent communicator who builds rapport with customers and translates fluently between their world and internal engineering contexts - Self-directed with high ownership; thrives as the only solutions person in a market
Nice to have
- Prior experience in solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or technical pre-sales, ideally selling into or integrating with enterprise customers - Background in automotive, parts, insurance, or estimating, or experience building integrations against messy external data formats
Benefits and work setup
- Competitive base salary plus generous equity for full-time employees - Annual global offsite of 1–2 weeks with the wider UK/EU team - Parental leave: 3 months fully paid for primary caregivers, with a phased return-to-work option - Daily team lunches provided in-office - Flexible working hours with a default to office-based work - Quarterly team events and regular social gatherings - Annual wellness allowance usable across fitness, medical, and family health needs
