Remote job
Senior Product Manager, Catalog
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A remote-first digital health company is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own its product catalog, which is the foundational data layer that powers ordering workflows for medical equipment and supplies. The PM leads a balanced product team (engineering and design) focused on systems and data work: schema design, ingestion and sync architecture, matching and deduplication at scale, and the operator tooling that sits on top. Success shows up when category managers can maintain catalog content without workarounds, duplicate product data stops blocking orders, and downstream clinical workflows can trust the catalog as a single source of truth.
Responsibilities
- Define catalog product strategy, including what "catalog health" means, the metrics that measure it, and the bets that move accuracy and coverage - Own the product data model with engineering: how entities, attributes, variants, relationships, and hierarchies are structured, versioned, and evolved - Partner with merchandising, operations, and supplier-facing teams on discovery to find where PIM/CMS workflows break and where data-model debt appears as duplicate SKUs or brittle mappings - Define release slices that optimize for time-to-value across merchant tooling, ingestion/publish/sync, and attribute model improvements - Lead end-to-end delivery: write briefs and acceptance criteria, dig into the data, unblock the team, and own outcomes - Make and defend technical product trade-offs (schema changes, migrations, API contracts, batch vs. real-time sync, matching precision vs. recall) and explain them to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Senior product management experience owning a systems or data product alongside engineering partners - Comfort with entity modeling, ingestion pipelines, and matching/deduplication at scale - Track record leading balanced product teams through discovery, build, launch, and iteration - Ability to make and defend technical trade-offs and communicate them clearly to business stakeholders - Orientation toward enterprise operator tooling rather than clinician-facing or consumer-app work - Willingness to dive into data model issues, pipeline failures, and match-rate regressions rather than work only at the UI layer
Nice to have
- Background in healthcare, durable medical equipment, or other regulated catalogs - Experience with PIM or CMS platforms and supplier data onboarding
Benefits and work setup
- Base salary range of $170,000–$220,000 plus an annual bonus opportunity up to 15% - Medical, dental, and vision coverage, including low-to-no-cost premium options - HSA contributions, 401(k), and an equity incentive plan - Remote-first culture with co-working reimbursement and a dedicated office in NYC - Flexible PTO plus five additional summer Fridays, plus home office, wellness, internet, and learning stipends - Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
